Hyannis Port Residence
This classic turn-of-the-century seaside Hyannis Port home revealed the need for a robust intervention, so it was lifted fifteen feet in the air and set on a new foundation five feet east of its original location. BWL collaborated with engineers to site the build in such a way as to meet the needs of modern interior programming. A coastal vernacular is reflected in native plantings that stabilize the bank and control runoff. The 1903 family home and outdoor spaces once again sit above the marsh, ready for multiple generations to gather and celebrate the seasons of Cape Cod.
